Raiding

All covenants seem to have their niche, but if you are purely doing raids for HPS, I would still recommend necrolord.

Primordial Wave is an excellent ability as it covers a lot of the bases that healers need to deal with during progress, like spread or spot healing. On top of that, having extra personal defensive like Fleshcraft is strong during mythic progression.

Mythic+

I would recommend the kyrian covenant with the new legendary Raging Vesper Vortex. Mythic+ dungeons are timed, so it's all about how much damage the healers can contribute. So, a covenant like kyrian is really helpful.

Vesper totem provides a brief CD burst of damage/healing around the totem. On average, it's possible to do 5-7k overalls as long as our group plays clean. On top of everything, kyrian also has access to Phial of Serenity which is strong in Shadowlands dungeons due to the number of bleeds/diseases that shamans cant outplay.

Raiding

As a necrolord, you want to use emeni as your soulbind during raid encounters. All necrolord soulbinds seem to be underwhelming this patch, but emeni still looks decent during raid progression.

Potency:Swirling Currents

This is a great conduit which increases the healing of your next 3 Healing Surge, Healing Wave or Riptide after you cast Cloudburst Totem.

Ele Shaman Best Trinkets

Potency:Heavy Rainfall

A decent conduit which increases the healing of your Healing Rain for 20 seconds after casting Healing Tide Totem, which can be useful during heavy raid damage events.

Potency:Tumbling Waves

Elemental Shaman 9.1 Trinkets

A covenant-specific conduit that gives Primordial Wave a chance not to incur its cooldown. While it sounds good, it currently seems to be completely random and can proc off itself a couple of times or not proc at all during the whole fight, which is not ideal for healers. An important thing to note: when you get a proc, you NEED to cast Healing Wave before casting Primordial Wave again, so you don`t waste a proc...

Best In Slot For Elemental Shaman Shadowlands

Endurance:Vital Accretion

Endurance:Condensed Anima Sphere

Nice conduit that helps a bit with rot damage. Third choice for endurance conduit.

An amazing conduit, which increases your maximum health while your Earth Elemental is up. This makes Earth Elemental a decent defensive cooldown with an extremely long duration.

Finesse:Thunderous Paws

A nice conduit, which increases your movement speed after casting Ghost Wolf. It doesn’t have much of an impact on early ranks, but a higher rank of it provides you with a significant movement speed boost.

Finesse:Spiritual Resonance

Provides you with 4-18 seconds (based on the rank) of Spiritwalker’s Grace whenever you gain Bloodlust or any similar buff. This can be useful for repositioning during Bloodlust, however, the viability heavily depends on the moment when Bloodlust is used.

Finesse:Totemic Surge

Reduces the cooldown of your Tremor Totem, Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem. The viability heavily depends on whether you need to use these totems in the raid, meaning bosses with a Fear, Charm or Sleep effect, which can be removed with Tremor Totem, or bosses with adds which are not immune to CC.

Mythic+

If you are with the kyrian covenant, you want to pick Forgelite Prime Mikanikos in dungeons. It's a strong offensive soulbind that grants you extra haste on the pull and reduces the cooldown of your Vesper totem.

Potency:Swirling Currents

This conduit is very decent in Mythic+ settings since Healing Surge and Riptide are the primary sources of healing in the dungeon setting. Overall a strong pick if you need more healing output.

Potency:Elysian Dirge

A great conduit that increases our damage, especially on single target. Buffs both totems and legendary damage/healing. The go-to for dungeons.

Endurance:Condensed Anima Sphere

An excellent conduit that helps a bit with rot damage. The third choice for endurance conduits.

Endurance:Vital Accretion

An amazing conduit, which increases your maximum health whilst your Earth Elemental is active. This makes Earth Elemental a decent defensive cooldown with an extremely long duration.

Finesse:Totemic Surge

Reduces the cooldown of your Tremor Totem, Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem. Unlike in the raid, this conduit gets a lot of value in Mythic+ by default, allowing you to use CC and remove Fear mechanics much more often. Overall a very solid pick and gives a lot of extra utility.

Endurance: Refreshing Waters

Increases healing surge healing on yourself. Best choice in the endurance slot for keys. The amount of healing surges used in dungeons is absurd. It's a very strong conduit.

Legendaries

Primal Tide Core - This is the default choice in raids due to its good synergy with the necrolord covenant ability.

Raging Vesper Vortex - This is the new default choice for Kyrians. Great for mythic+ keys and raid.

Deeptremor Stone - If you want to increase your damage in mythic+ keys as a necrolord, you want to get this legendary.

Domination Sockets:

Patch 9.1 introduced domination gear with strong gems that can drop in the sanctum of domination raid. You have 3 types of gems which are Unholy, Blood, and Frost. Using three gems of the same kind will unlock a strong set bonus that works in sanctum of domination and the maw/torghast.

The max amount of domination items we can wear at any given point is 5.

Raiding

Shadowlands

I recommend using the unholy set for pure HPS and the Blood set if you want to focus on DPS.

HPS: Shard of Zed, Shard of Oth, Shard of Dyz, Shard of Rev, Shard of Kyr

DPS: Shard of Bek, Shard of Rev, Shard of Jas, Shard of Dyz, Shard of Kyr

Mythic+

Domination set bonuses do not work in dungeons, but the gems do. As always, we mostly want to focus on our damage during mythic+ dungeons.

For mythic+, I recommend using the following gems:

Shard of Cor, Shard of Bek, Shard of Dyz for damage, and Shard of Kyr as your defensive. The fifth gem is very flexible, and any of the remaining gems will find their niche. However, I prefer Shard of Rev for the extra leech that saves GCDs.

I'm a bit confused regarding Elemental Equilibrium. From what I have read (on other WowHead guides), the talent Echoing Shock acts as an elemental spell which should activate the legendary immediately. And the talent having 30 secs cooldown fits perfectly with the legendary cooldown (Or Elemental Blast with 12 secs). Meaning you pretty much have 15% more damage 1/3 of the time on your rotation.
Even if what I read is wrong, Icefury which is the recommended talent for best dps (don't really like it myself, too many spells to keep track of) also has a 30 secs cooldown and should give the same effect. Didn't do any studies and don't have beta access, but I'd say +15% damage from all spells should give much more dps than +20% on a single spell with cast time shaved off. Am I missing something?

But the question is which slot it should be used at? shoulder? helm? bracer? that was the question I came to find an answer to but the guide did not include that. Optimally we should craft a legendary for our slot with the worst stats right? WRT that here is what I think:
Since best single target dmg in raid stats are haste and versitality (0.5 & 0.3 weight points respectively), and we should make something that excludue items with those stats. That leaves us with 6 items from the raid (gloves crit/haste, helm haste/mastery, feet crit/mastery, bracers crit/mastery, shoulder versitality/mastery). Crit and mastery are our worst stats possible for single target dmg in raid (0.1 weight points each) this leaves us with only feet & bracer slots. They might be the best possible slots to craft.
This is the deduction I came up with including the items from the raid drops. This doesn't include the mythic+ dungeon drops, they don't get titanforged anymore but they might be viable options if the ilvl is high enough (e.g.: Spires have a haste versitality bracer).
Considered both of the ring slots aswell but since both raid drop rings give massive haste, I think I'll exlude them.

Question about the order:
Like many people, I was able to achieve the 1520 Soul Ash soft cap for Week 2. I currently have the recipe for Elemental Equilibrium, but this guide says not to make it.
I don't have either of the recommended recipes:
Windspeaker's Lava Resurgence (world boss, not sure what order)
Skybreaker's Fiery Demise (Last raid boss)
Echoes of Great Sundering (Muzhala?)
Should I just hoard my Soul Ash until I am able to get one of the recipes above, or just go ahead and make the Elemental Equilibrium?

I just did Castle Natharia and Elemental Equilibrium outperformed the Echoes of Great Sundering by a 3.1 K (DPS) vs 2.2 K (DPS). The procs without large mobs to trigger maelstrom was night and day on a boss fight.
Mythic plus seems to benefit greater on the Echoes due to chain lightning triggering a ton of maelstrom.
Just a Shaman's point of view...
I could see the Windspeaker's Lava Resurgence being better than both but I'll craft that this weekend and test it out.

Bit of a confusing read seeing as Elemental Equilibrium is BiS for Ele Shaman PvP and has near 100% uptime.
